Internal linking
Internal linking is the practice of connecting pages within a website through hyperlinks, distributing link equity and signaling topical relationships to search engines and AI crawlers.
For programmatic SEO, the hub-and-spoke pattern wins: a service hub page links to every city page for that service, and each city page links back to the hub plus 2–3 sibling city pages. Avoid flat 'related posts' grids — those dilute equity. Anchor text should describe the destination topic, not just say 'learn more'.
